Em's concise guide to shoe fixing -

1. Apply glue to loose bit of sole. Any glue you find laying about, probably not pritt stick though.

2. Stamp on the floor for maximum sole/glue/shoe contact.

3. Tape liberally - I chose masking tape, which will probably be a bad choice given the wet weather. But hey, you win some you lose some.

4. Do not wait for it to dry, just continue with leaving the house.
